Something weird and VERY frustrating happened to me while I was using Font/DA Mover 3.6. I was in the middle of copying/moving DA's between system files and DA files, when the following error message appeared (this is approximately what it said): Sorry, a serious error has occured. ID=200,-113, Restart When I restarted again, my Mac II would crash right after installing my HierDA & Pyro inits. The errors reported included ID's 01,10,25, and 32! I then created a new system folder and tested everything in it one-by-one, until I discovered that leaving Quickerdraw .98 out allowed the system to startup successfully. Ok, I thought, the Quickerdraw must been damaged by whatever "serious error" I got. WRONG! I had to use Font/DA Mover again, and I got the SAME "serious" error messages (in fact, this happened a couple more times). But now, it didn't seemed to inhibit the system from starting up; however, I still feel very uneasy simply because I don't know what is happening! To make things more confusing, I decided to replace the Quickerdraw into the System folder. What do ya know? Now, it starts up successfully! Does ANYONE know what's going on? HELP!!! -- To insure my reception of any replies, please respond via e-mail. Yes. You have the VERY messed up version of QuickerDraw. Get the release version of QuickerGraf, which should be distributed with the new Apple Systems. I installed QuickerDraw .98 about 2 months ago, and immediately afterwords I had about 400 system bombs, millions of corrupt files, dead system files, and no printing or disk reads or writes. I have reason to believe that the .98 version of QuickerDraw is contaminated by some kind of virus, as I had to initialize and remount my 40 meg, without a backup, to get rid of the bombs and such. I also had to run several of my disks through Interferon and Ferret to make sure they too hadn't been touched. DO NOT USE QUICKERDRAW .98! VIRUS or not, IT DESTROYED my hard disk, and it seems you might of run across the same problem. Use the newer version of QuickerGraf, which I know several people have not had one problem with.
