Here's a question that should be common but that I haven't seen on this net yet. One of the users here just threw her folder full of files away in the trash and then emptied her trash. Is there any way, by hook or by crook, to get those files back? I've got her at a standstill, now. "Don't touch anything on that hard disk 'til I tell you!" But there's no telling how long she will stand for that. (Can't say that I blame her.) These people come to me as though I have ALL the answers for their Macs, and I'm tired of giving them the old blank stare. Send E-mail and I will summarize for the net if I can make this Pnews thing work twice in a row. Disclaimer: Do your bosses necessarily agree with everything that you say? Well, neither do mine! There is an INIT from the Copy II Mac family that is called saves deletes and it fixes your HD if it doesn't have tags (which most don't). But, however, it won't fix anything that was thrown away before you installed it. I would try to get the files back again with Mac Tools, you might be lucky and have tags on you HD. If not you might try Disk First Aid. I have heard it is good, but do not know its limitations. Mark Cookson
