This is a reply to a question from Larry Gegel as to how to convince his dealer that there is a free ROM upgrade for his Mac+ (my email response bounced) Convincing dealers of this is not an easy thing to do. I went to talk to the Apple Service Facility that did my upgrade last August. They told me they never heard of such a thing. I guess it was all a figment of my imagination. I finally prevailed on them to look a little harder. I think they came up with the right info. Tell your dealer to look in his Service Programs 3-ring binder for Product Notice OKJ767 on page 8.4.8. This section describes that the new ROMs are versions B&C and how the dealer gets reimbursment for the parts (not labor). Part of getting this to work may be to argue that your ROMs are defective since you cannot boot the machine without the attached hard disk being turned on. -ME
