[comp.sys.mac] stripping system file 4.1 for a plus...

G.GUTOW@LEAR.STANFORD.EDU (Jonathan Gutow) (07/20/88)

About a week ago someone listed which resources could be stripped from system
4.1 to make it as small as possible for a RAM disk or something of that sort
on a plus. I tried removing everything suggested except for the WDEF. Things
work fine except for ResEdit 1.2d1 which is now looking for an "unimplemented
core routine".
The things I stripped were:
	.MPP
	.ATP
	PACK4
	PACK5
	PACK12
This did save a lot of space. I would suggest that if you have a plus you
should strip the system but wait until somebody explains what I removed that
upsets the new version of ResEdit.

I thought people would like to
				know my experience.
				Good Luck,
				Jon
