I have a copy of SuperPlay 4.0 and a bunch sound files for it. Question: How do I turn these babies into snd files so that I can use them with Hypercard? I can't seem to make ResEdit do the job for me. Do I need some sort of special utility? Forgive me for the stupid question, I've only had my mac a few months... -edc-

There are a number of shareware utilities to do just what you ask -- convert Soundwave/SoundEdit files into snds. Look on your nearby MacBoard, and you'll probably find them. One of them, by the way, is a Hypercard XCMD called SoundCapToRes. They all work nicely. My memory of their names is gone, because I went out and bought a MacRecorder, which comes with everything I'll ever need to do MacNoises. Hope this helps.

There are a few HyperCard stacks that might help you. There are a few that will convert sound files to the type used by HyperCard. There is also a programers stack that is supposed to help you do almost anything you want to do in a HyperCard stack. You might try CI$, or GEnie for the stacks. They would be too big to post on the net... On Portal (where I call from) they have good HyperCard section and it might be here (if you have access), otherwise, maybe I could send you it on disk if you can't find it or get it from anyone else...
