I talked to LaCie yesterday, and they've been working with Apple to resolve the problem where a restart without a clean shutdown unmounts the disk. The current recommended workaround is to repartition the drive into two 40 Meg pieces (the manuals are going out this week, or call them for instructions). This, of course, requires a backup and restore, but apparently completely bypasses the problem. They are still working to resolve it altogether, and all the people I've talked to there have been helpful and friendly. The Silver Server software should also be going out soon. --Cy--
