I read an old message on teaching Font/DA mover. I am a computer trainer
at UNC @ chapel hill, teaching intro to mac, intro to Word and so on,
and there is no doubt that Font/DA mover is one thing new users have
a really hard time understanding!! The difference between installing
the fonts and DA's, the limits on those two, their location in the
System, how to use the Font/DA mover are all things I need time to do
well when training people on the Mac. It is pretty hard to explain why
some things like Pyro! work when simply present in the System folder,
and the fonts and DA's need to be installed! There must be a better
way to get the fonts and DA's into the system and into people's
understanding...If people have instructional material they are really
proud of and do not mind sharing teaching ideas, please send it to
ucpage@tucc.bitnet and she will forward the message. Perhaps the
future holds something better for us, Apple????
