[comp.sys.mac] Need help, with Dataframe and Apple Tape Backup

My Supermac Manager 3.05 said that an XP 20 had media damage and
should be reinitialized.  So I borrowed an Apple SCSI tape backup
unit, made a volume backup, and initialized the disk.  Now
I have two problems:

  1)  Manager now says that the Drive mechanism is illegally
	trying to write to alternate tracks.  I'm not sure what
	this means to me
  2)  The Apple SCSI tape program says that the tape is incompatible
	with the volume I'm trying to restore to (version 1.1).

Is there any way to do a restore?  I might be able to borrow a
different disk, if it will help.
