[comp.sys.mac] Archives....

ncmagel@ndsuvax.UUCP (ken magel) (08/01/88)

For the last month or so, the major addition to sumac, and macserve@
pucc has been eight files whose names begin with xxx. All are at least
400K bytes. These eight files appear to be several files apiece combined
together for some reason. Since they have been available for more than two week
s, is anyone going to split them up? Are future postings going to be merged in
this way?
If no one is going to split them up, I volunteer to do so, at least to the
extent I can. If I don't hear form anyone by August 5th and the files are
still in their present form, I will try to do the splitting. Unfortunately I
don't know how to send the results back to any of the archives so they will
have to be on this machine for anyone who wishes to retrieve them.

Sorry about the confusion. The archives are backed up at Sumex and I was
running out of disk space. The only available storage was in the
<Info-Mac> directory. Unfortunately, files there show up all over the
place. You netters don't miss a thing, eh? :) Anyhow, I've moved them out
of there and hope to archive them in the near future. Submissions (both
messages and binaries) to Info-Mac should be sent to
Info-Mac@Sumex-Aim.Stanford.Edu. PLEASE include a (short) subject line for
each piece of large binaries. It is frustrating (and a great time waster)
to see unlabeled 10-piece postings.

Could someone please mail me a list of the available archive sites for
macintosh software. I do not subscribe to this group so please mail it
to me. Thankyou.......

Steve.

Thanks
