Hello, all! I've just had to deal with a co-worker who had a lot of valuable information on an 800K, HFS-format floppy disk. Three days ago, her mac II and a mac + would report the disk as unreadable. However, a third mac (a II) could read the files on the disk. Yesterday, however, the third mac reported the disk as unreadable. Using SUM, the HFS recover program couldn't find any files. The Floppy Recover program got some of the files, but a lot of directory information was missing (the icon for the file in the finder, and type/creator in resedit). Anyone know what's going on? Is there some sort of creeping 'head alignment' problem? Is there any way to diagnose and/or repair this? Thanks for the help. Chris Wood Bellcore ...!bcr!nvuxr!ccw
