Is there some utility that allows one to create a new font? I downloaded utility-font-editor-104a from sumex but could not execute it due to an error. Is there some other utility that is available to handle this or some other way to do this? thanks

What kind of font? If it's for a laserwriter, you need to buy Fontographer. There really isn't any other choice. For imagewriter or screen/bitmap fonts, there are a bunch of options. There's a (primitive) font editor in ResEdit. There's also a little brother to Fontographer who's name I forget for bitmaps.
