If this was discussed several months, my apologies. I recently switched from System 4.1/Finder 5.5 to System 5.0. I've noticed that when downloading files using Red Ryder 10.3 (at 2400 baud, XMODEM 1K protocol), the throughput has been slowed tremendously by the change in System. Previously, it took about 5 seconds to download 1Kbytes, but now it takes 25-30 seconds. This occurs under both uniFinder and MultiFinder. I know it's not just my system, as a friend has also experienced this. I've tried removing INITs, re-installing the system, using a fresh copy of Red Ryder, and zapping the PRAM, with no effect. Does anyone have a solution? Thanks in advance. Andrew Kwan kwan@bonnie.ics.uci.edu
