Please tell me I'm wrong, but it appears that Find and Search/Replace in Word 3.01 works only on plain text. That is, it does not pick up text that has had some character formatting done on it, e.g., italics, small caps, etc. What's more, even with Match Upper and Lower Case selected, Word does not seem to pick up 'Caps' when the specified search pattern is 'caps'. Is this bug (omission?) fixed in 3.02? It would have been nice to at least be able to format the search pattern. That is, absolutely literal pattern specification. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Benjamin Yin-Hon Lian ACSnet: ben@tasis.utas.oz Dept. of EE & CS ARPA : ben%tasis.utas.oz.au@uunet.uu.net University of Tasmania BITnet: munnari!tasis.utas.oz!ben@ GPO Box 252C uunet.uu.net (I think) Hobart, Tasmania 7001 UUCP : {enea, hplabs, mcvax, seismo, ukc}!
