I have been having some difficulties with my combinations of software. The basic combination is Mac II 1meg memory,dataframe XP20 external drive, Imagewrite II,Apple video, monitor. Mac II cut down system 6,with superspool 4.0,Pyro,suitcase 1.2.,vaccine, superspool in the system,all system font families in the system, others in suitcase files. The problem Coach professional DA does not work in Finder ; seems to start then nothing happens, with a retrun to the finder. It works Ok under Multifinder, stand alone speller works OK in finder Nothing changes except the startup , set the appropriate startup then restart the system. The problem seems to be independent of using superspool as a background printer resource. I had previously used a Mac Plus, but when I used the 'patched' version of suitcase The system would not start correctly, with a Bomb appearing; have not tried it on the Mac II but other desk accessories in the same file appear to work. As an aside; although I send in my registration cards for all my software I have not yet heard about the latest suitcase offer; nor Canvas ver 2, I have sent for WriteNow version 2; I would also like an 'English' or Australian version of the dictionaries, and thesauri for Coach.
