[comp.sys.mac] making startup screen stay around?

ne of our macs are rented (an se) and the desktop background is
a space scene (ie constellation type star mass).

This seems to be a startupscreen but stays around always.

How is this done and is it possible to do it on mac pluses.

I should point out that the system is 1.2Mb on the nono-apple harddisk

There are public domain programs for setting a startup screen and
desktop.  You might have the same graphic for both, but it's not
necessary.  Look for "deskscene" in your favorite P.D. mac software
repository.
