[comp.sys.mac] Rauto-saving program

kwan@bonnie.ics.uci.edu (Andrew Kwan) (08/17/88)

Someone asked about a DA that automatically saves at preset time intervals.
There is one advertised in the 9/88 MACazine, pg.13, called "AutoSave DA,"
for $49.95, from
Magic Software, Inc.
1706 Galvin Rd. S.
Bellevue, NE 68005

I have no knowledge of this company or its product (other than the ad).

There is a PD one called Saviour and it works well. You just choose how often
(every key/mouse click, every seconds or after seconds) and give it the menu
name. You just need to say Save, you don't have to do anything like a
pathname or anything. Nice and simple and it works quite well. The only
thing is that it make a "Saviour" file in your system folder for your options.
Not a big deal to me, but you might not like those unsightly clutters, but
that would be the least of your worries if it saved you from loosing an hour's
worth of work....
