[comp.sys.mac] Pronunciation Marks

omo@mcnc.org (Julie E. Omohundro) (08/23/88)

I'm looking for a way to do pronunciation marks on my Macintosh. (That's
*pronunciation* marks like in a dictionary entry, not *accent* marks like in
a foreign language, so, no, I can't do them with key caps, at least not in
the obvious way.)

I need a method that could be used with any font (or at least a goodly
selection), on both the Imagewriter and the Laserwriter (although different
methods for each printer would be fine).

I'm a bit surprised, but no one seems to know of an easy way to do this.
I'm checking out font editors, but I'd hoped for a much easier/cheaper way.
I have Word 3.01; if it can do it, I haven't figured out how, although I'm
holding out some dim hope for 4.0.

Can anyone out there help me out?

always tell too far.
