I am trying to get a sequence of power spectra from an acoustic signal, for input to a neural network. For testing the method I would like to use MacRecorder from Farallon Computing. The software can save the digitized sound on disk and play it back. It can also display the power spectra of the sound as you produce it in front of the microphone of the box. It can also play back the saved file. But I have not find a way to obtain the power spectra of the sound as it is being played back. 1. Is there any way to do that? 2. Is there any way to save the power spectra to disk? 3. Does anyone know the format of the sound files? Please email me at daniel@alv.umd.edu. Daniel
