The new ResEdit 1.2b1.1 has considerable improvements. It appears they have finally got someone to work on it. After browsing the resources and comparing it to even 1.2d1 there is a lot that is new. Just about every code resource has change in size most significantly. There are many new menus and new TMPL's (templates for displaying resources). There is a couple dozen new alerts which indicate a lot of checks & warnings have been added. A System Mix? I discovered the other day that I had accidently put the 6.1 Finder & 6.0? Multifinder on with a 4.3 system. It has been working just fine! I tried the 6.0 System and had problems with it, but those problems don't seem to occur with the mix. All the new features without the problems. I'm running on a 2.5meg SE. I think some of the problems with the new system may be machine type related. 6.0 seems to run fine on our Mac II. -- Tony Jacobs * Center for Engineering Design * U of U * t-jacobs@ced.utah.edu
