Stepping Out II is not entirely compatible with MPW, nor with MacMoney. I am guessing that this is because neither MPW nor MacMoney terminate with ExitToShell. Stepping Out II has a QuickStart feature that allows one to leave the extended screen inactive, normally, and then enable it for a single application, by holding down Option while launching the application. The extended screen is supposed to be automatically removed when the application quits. The removal doesn't work with either MPW Shell or with MacMoney. I'd bet that neither does an ExitToShell and that it is a replacement for this trap that is supposed to remove the extended screen. Duane T.
