I have been trying to Swedify my US system but need some help since the system has changed since my documentation was written. I managed to remap the keyboard and modify INTL0 and 1 resources. I am currently using System 4.2 and Finder 6.0. There is a new INTL2 resource and my guess is that is has something to do with the special country specific string sort order. Does anyone know how it works and where the sort table is stored nowadays? What does the KMAP resources do? I have a 60Mb Cirrus HD and have gotten tired of the LONG time it takes to add a new application and sometimes open an application, because of the large Desktop file. The Desk Manager INIT is supposed to fix that, but when I add it to the System Folder I either get a strange FILE MISSING notice at startup, or all system files gets random pattern icons. How is the Desk Manager supposed to work? Anything special you have to do before adding it to the System Folder? I have tried it without any other INITs/CDEVs. What happened to the good old Startprogram command that made it possible to have another program replace the Finder. Does the current System (version>=4.2) not allow that. Off course I can fix it by renaming and retyping the Finder replacement to look like a Finder but why this change? Is keyboard mapping and INTL handled the same way in System 6.?, or do I have to change all that again when I switch? Any help is very much appreciated, thanks.
