Like to see a minor System 6.0 Finder bug? Open a window. Shrink it so it needs to scroll vertically in both View by Icon and View by Name. Scroll to the top in View by Icon, select View by Name and scroll to the bottom, select View by Icon again. Look at the thumb at the bottom, but try to scroll up. You can't because you are already at the top, but the thumb is at the bottom. Kent Borg kent@lloyd.uucp or hscfvax!lloyd!kent

Actually, you can use the down arrow (this resets the thumb), but I don't think that excuses it. Now, has anybody tried naming a disk "^0" and choosing "Erase Disk"? This has been there from day one; send it off to MacWhatchamacallit and get $25 dollars. I'll never get around to it. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oliver Steele ...!decnet!mcnc!unc!steele UNC-CH steele@cs.unc.edu

Another related problem was that the scroll bar would always be drawn highlighted (with the thumb at the bottom) in a 'View by Name' window, even if all files fit well within the bounds of the window! This has been fixed in the System 6.0.1 release (although I don't know about 6.0.2 :-) ), and appeared to be only a "cosmetic" bug. -ken -- ========== ....... =========================================== Ken McLeod :. .: uucp: {spsd, zardoz, felix}!dhw68k!thecloud ========== :::.. ..::: InterNet: thecloud@dhw68k.cts.com //// ===========================================

Those clowns (MacWorld/User) only publish useless bugs, and Word bugs. I sent them 3 or 4 REALLY JUICY bugs and undocumented features, (which I can't remember offhand :-), but they never replied or published them. -Ted
