Is there any software available that will allow you to choose a printer on an appletalk or ethertalk network without having the user open the chooser? We need to be able to have reciepts from our 4D database automatically sent to one of two imagewriters without leaving the chooser set to that printer so that no one will print word processing documents on reciept forms. Ideally a pascal (or some other language) program that would take as an argument the intended printer to be selected and would return a flag to indicate success or failure in choosing the intended printer. Has anyone seen any such code lying around or any comercially available software that might do the job? A smart print spooler might be a good solution! I would really appreciate any leads on a solution to this problem.
