I just spoke with one of the tech-support folks at Rodime. He tells me
that he's tested Rodime's existing disk-driver software with System
6.0.2, and it works correctly... no more "Do you want to initialize
this disk single-sided or double-sided?" dialog. Apparently, Apple has
backed out the unannounced change they made to the System 6.0
SCSI-disk-driver interface, which caused Rodime and some other
third-party disk drives to malfunction under 6.0 (weird failures
during initialization, and errors during Disk First Aid 1.4 execution).
Rodime is currently beta-testing its new disk-driver software, and will
(I'm told) probably be releasing the software to its dealers within a
couple of weeks.
