hello out there MAClanders ... I was trying to import a MSDOS WORD4.0 document into the MAC's Word 3.01, but am having a few problems. The file was transfered using kermit in binary mode from the PC to a UNIX host and then with Red Rider in kermit binary to the MAC. 1) I am not to familiar with the MAC version of Word 2) I was able to open the file on the MAC, however all formatting was lost. The format control was shown as little squares (undefined character in the screen font?). Icon did not show Word's ID does anyone here do this kind of stuff? ... anything I missed in the process? and ultimately, what is the cause of the problem? Thanks to all!
