[comp.sys.mac] The Missing LINK of LSC 3.0?!

pff@thumper.bellcore.com (Peter Ferris) (10/02/88)

I recently purhcased LSC 3.0. I've set up my folders as described in the manual
however I am experiencing a problem:
Everytime I start / run an application I ALWAYS get a "LINK FAILURE" (or
"Link Failed" - or whatever the exact verbage is) with the despicable
housefly!

Even apps that ran fine with earlier LSC don't "Link" anymore. I suspect
A) Somethings missing / misplaced in one of my folders, or more UNlikely:
B) Something's missing from the LSC 3.0 discettes.

"Bullseye", etc; etc; don't run and neither does anything else. I figured
it's probably trivial and not worth the call to Think, it was easier to try
the net first? Any takers on this prob? I'd think it refreshingly easy
in comparison to some questions / probs I've seen lately!

Again, the over riding problem is the damn "LINK FAILURE".

Your help is greatly appreciated...

P.S.: BTW: I'm running this on a Mac II w/ 100MB Rodime. I'm trying to learn
"C" very slowly, but I'm trying a very simple phone dialer. Any hints / tips
or kinks about serial operation would be greatly appreciated too - incl. sample
terminal programs - the simpler the better in this case!

What symbols are multiply defined or undefined? It's an important
piece of information that needs to be provided...
