I'd like to know what the SUM utilities and inits are and where can I
get them. From what I've been able to piece together they sound usefull.

I believe that it was mentioned in the past, but I'm sure many missed the
note: the SUM (Symantec Utilities - Macintosh) patches and the INITs are only
intended for those folk who have purchased the SUM commercial package. E.g.,
you will not be able to restore any files with the Shield INIT without using
the utilities included in SUM. So if you think the INITs look useful (and they
are), go out and buy SUM.
