I have a Sun that uses a 17" Sony Trinitron monitor. The
connections are by BNC connectors for r/g/b/sync. On the
otherhand the standard Apple MacII color monitor is a
smaller Sony Trinitron which also uses r/g/b/sync but with
a specialized cabling scheme.
The difference in cabling is enough to keep me from trying
it, but I wonder if the MacII video card would drive the
Sun Sony monitor. The Sun surely drives it with a higher
scan rate, but I wonder if there is enough range in the
Sony to accomodate the slower MacII scan rate.
Anyone know?
