With all this noise about reading Apple ][ and IBM disks, I want to know why AFE on the Mac II here will not WRITE or FORMAT an IBM 5.25 360K disk??! I can read said disk with either the "default translation" (thats binary copy) or with the text translator, but when I try to write to such a disk the error "file/folder not found" returns and the disk directory is trashed (thatslike carry it to our IBM XT and dir to find hex and trash for directory info). Same error if I create a sub directory and try to copy a file into that sub directory from the mac. If I try to format the 5.25 as MS-DOS 360k, AFE recognizes the disk and what it should be but at the end of the format gives "format failed Please remove disk". Whats going on here?? Gee guess this info would be handy: Mac II running system 6.0.0 finder 6.1 MF 6.0 (I have tryed this both w/ and w/out MF). We have 4meg "apple" ram, Apple 5.25 disk drive and Apple disk drive card. Nothing unusualfor da's or inits 'cept Pyro and I can't see any problems there. AFE is vers= 1.1 Whats the deal??
