I posted a note earlier today that asked if anyone knew how to get a window wider or higher than the size of a macII screen. A letter from an Apple emplyee told me to hold the option key down. With my neighbor's MacWrite 5.0(CLARIS = Apple...) this failed. It failed in Word3.02, and some other stuff, INCLUDING THE FINDER. My problem must have a simple solution. Otherwise, two monitors is an option that achieves little of its potential. I just want to set one monitor bellow the other with the monitor cdev and get a really big window for test work. Now the second monitor is to the right of the main monitor. I did try each of the non-letter key with window resizing, and all the permutations of option, control, escape, and so forth failed too. Please send me email to the header address above if you know of a solution. This is my second posting ever, and I generally never get flustered with my Mac. Thanks in advance. My system is: System software 6.0.2 MacII 2/40 Apple 256 color- the main, menued screen Apple 16 gray IWII Appletalked to appleshare hosts...mainframes.etc. Inits were checked, to no avail. Is this a system bug? ( or do I want to much?) Disclaimer: I am in no way connected with any companies mentioned, and mean no harm. Any opinions are my own.
