7 x 9 sq inch print area x 300 x 300 dots per sq inch x 10/8 bits per serial interface byte / 9600 bits per second (19200 baud) / 60 seconds per minute -------------- 12 minutes per page (6 minutes per page) If the Macintosh is digitizing the whole page, it will take 12 - 18 mintues just to squirt it out over 9600 baud line. (18 for a full 8.5 x 11 inch area) At 19.2 k baud it will take 6 minutes. This is why the drivers had better take advantage of the DeskJet's data compression protocal. Erik Kilk
