[comp.sys.mac] how to copy files in the background?

werner@utastro.UUCP (Werner Uhrig) (10/11/88)

has anyone figured out a way to copy files/folders in the background.

I sometimes copy a floppy to the HD (and vice-versa) and would like to be
able to go on doing other things at the same time. Of course, the drag-copy
in the (Multi)Finder does not allow you to do other things, and I can't
think of a DA or other utility that does. I've considered using StuffIt
instead, as it does work in the background ... maybe StuffIt needs a
"plain-copy" option without any compression?! maybe then someone at
Apple will have the BRIGHT IDEA to buy StuffIt and bundle it with release
7.0 of the OS.
