My Mac Plus is starting to feel its age now, but I don't really want to (i.e. can't afford it) buy another machine just yet. So I am looking at maybe stuffing in more RAM and a go-faster board. There are many brands on the market, all claiming to do this-that-and-the-other. What is most important to me is that the third-party hardware is 100% transparent to the software. (Is that possible with 3rd party gear I wonder?) If you think that your widget or doover is the absolute bee's knees, please email me. I will summarise to the net if there is a good response. Oh, and yes, I do already have a hard drive. I wonder how I ever got along without one. Ben Lian P.S. Our net connection to the mainland is not very stable at the moment. If your email bounces, keep trying. I will acknowledge immediately anything arrives. --------------------------------------------------------------------- B Y H Lian ACSnet: ben@tasis.utas.oz Dept. of EE & CS ARPA : ben%tasis.utas.oz.au@uunet.uu.net University of Tasmania BITnet: munnari!tasis.utas.oz!ben@ GPO Box 252C uunet.uu.net (I think) Hobart, Tasmania 7001 UUCP : {enea, hplabs, mcvax, uunet, ukc}! A recent issue of MacWorld (Jan ' 88, page 137) had a detailed rundown of upgrades. Have fun!
