I know this has been brought up before, but because I wasn't having any
problems (then) I didn't listen. How do I reduce the size of the System,
as shown in "About the Finder..." ? I tried removing all my fonts and DAs,
but on my Mac (SE 1M RAM, 20M SCSI disk with Finder6.0/System4.2)
the system still uses 308K. Under MultiFinder, of course, it is necessarily
much worse (420K).
I should mention that I have SuperSpool and QuickKeys, and the Moire Idle
cdev in the System Folder as well. Their absence doesn't seem to make
much difference either.
Should I just limp along until my memory upgrade arrives? Or should I go
ahead and buy volumes 1 to 5 of Inside Macintosh, and figure it out for
myself?
