I'm having real problems with this - I've even reported some of the following to Apple using Outside Bug Reporter, but I didn't get any reply. I've listed the bugs below, but could I please BEG someone to send me Version 2.0.1 or whatever it was recently discussed on the net. (I hope I am not breaking any rules here - if so, perhaps someone at Apple themselves might like to send me a copy - Apple UK refuse to even acknowledge it exists. Goodness knows when they will get round to releasing it)> (1) After an unrecoverable write error on the tape, the message "Backup Successful" is given. This is stupid, but I can live with it. (2) A backup I did needed 3 tapes, and I wrote the final catalogue on the first tape as prompted. On restoring, I got the message that the restore was complete after the 2nd tape had been processed. I guess the software used the catalogue off the 2nd tape to decide this. (I did manage to get all my files back by separately restoring what was on the third tape). (3) I had a file (on the desktop) with the name " Timekeeper" - note the leading space. This was not presented in the list of files on the disk presumably somehow because of this leading space. As a result it did not get backed up, and was lost. This is really worrying cause I don't know if any other files got lost - I will only find out when I need them. -- Dr Ralph Martin Department of Computing Mathematics University of Wales College of Cardiff PO Box 916 Cardiff CF2 4YN United Kingdom
