[comp.sys.mac] Apple sales, revenues way up

landru@stan.com (Mike Rosenlof) (10/20/88)

From the little blurbs on the front page of today's October 20 WSJ:

Apple Computer said profit and sales for its latest quarter surged about
50%, exceeding its own expectations. The growth was linked to booming
sales of Macintosh computers.

The article on page 3 includes a table of Mac sales

					corporate
Total units	Mac II revenue (billions)*
1984	282,000 1.52
1985	259,000 1.92
1986	412,000 1.90
1987	713,000 2.66
1988	933,000 190,000 4.07

* for the fiscal years ending late september of each year

It will be interesting to see if the latest price hikes have any effect.
