[comp.sys.mac] Macintosh II Demo Picture

zimerman@phoenix.Princeton.EDU (Jacob Ben-david Zimmerman) (10/20/88)

Hi all!
Can someone out there in our virtual domain help me out and let me
know the following:

   a) Where I can get hold of the Macintosh II picture file displayed on
the cover of the MacII manual (the floating reflective balls
floating over a plain of Apple symbols on a white background.)

   b) Whether or not this is a proprietary piece of software (freeware,
      shareware,must purchase-ware, or unavailable to public-ware!)

I am also interested in this info.

I got it. I also have DeskPict, an init that sets up that picture as my
desktop. I get a lot of "Wow!"s from people seeing it for the first time.
I can mail it to you, or (if many others want it) I can post it to comp.
binaries.mac. If you want it, please email me; DON'T post. Thanks.

I have a 640x480x256 (approximately) variation of this picture. There are
actually quite a few of these images (different angles and views) around.
Is it appropriate to upload a GIF or PICT of this image to the net? If so,
I'd be glad to do it. If not, I'll mail it directly to people if our
mailer, which seems to be relatively ignorant of the rest of the world's
existence, allows it.
