[comp.sys.mac] Installing fonts in documents?

mha@batcomputer.tn.cornell.edu (Mark H. Anbinder) (10/27/88)

I know it's possible to install a font in an application file, so it's
accessible only from within that application. Can you install a font
in a single document? More importantly, once it's there (I'm sure it's
possible to get ResEdit or Font/DA Mover to install it) can you use it?

The application for the document would have to known to look for the
font in that particular document. No application I know of currently
makes this check. Even if the document's resource fork is opened by
the application (MPW, for example), the Font menu is probably built by
that point, making the selection of the Font impossible.
