[comp.sys.mac] Bush and Dukakis on Hypercard

swilson%thetone@Sun.COM (Scott Wilson) (11/03/88)

Got this in the mail yesterday, "the times they are a changin'":

----------

Stackware about election campaigns?

Cynics: But voters don't care about issues, and Hypercard(TM) is
just a toy.

The League of Conservation Voters doesn't but either claim.

The California League of Conservation Voters (CLCV) is the nonpartisan
election arm of the environmental community. We monitor the environmental
performance of California elected officials at the state and federal
level. We endorse candidates committed to protecting our air, land, and
water and take positions on state ballot measures that affect our
environment. Getting the word out has made the difference in hundreds
of elections -- people do care about environmental issues.

This year, we've decided to move the word on disk as well as on paper.
We've used the power of Hypercard to create "stackware" to help you
sort out the key environmental issues on this year's ballot. If you have
Hypercard, you'll be able to enjoy viewing our stack.

The CLCV Campaign '88 Stack lets you hear the candidates and contrast
their positions. You'll choose the issuse you care about with the
touch of a button. The disk contains:

Environmental positions of Presidential and CA senatorial
	candidates.

Presidential candidate comparisons on other issues, with text
	and voice.

CLCV ratings of CA elected officials for '87 (state) and 87-88
	(federal)

	CLCV endorsement recommendations.

To order the disk: Don't delay! Fill out the coupon below and mail it to
us with a check payable to CLCV for $5 or more ($30 gets you the disk
and an annual League membership.) Send to CLCV Stack, 965 Mission Street,
Suite 705, San Francisco, CA 94103. All mail orders must be received
no later than November 7th. Or call 415-553-5369 to learn how to get
the stack by modem.
