I post this here as I do not know how to contact these parties in any other way and think that this is the most effective way of contacting them. ---------------------------------------------------------------- To the legal folks at Apple. A few weeks ago, in my eagerness to help the general community of Apple users out there, I made several postings about getting A/UX onto Rodime disk drives. It happens that I made my posting from a host at the Flinders University of South Australia. It seems that you people in Apple's legal department have taken note of this. Being the intelligent folks that you are, you worked out that no one at Flinders Uni has an A/UX licence, and no doubt you also figured out that Richard Sharpe does not have an A/UX licence. Please let me assure you: 1. While I do not have an A/UX licence personally, I have not acted improperly. 2. I do not work for Flinders Uni, and am in no way involved with Flinders Uni, and they have never to my knowledge been involved in software piracy. I do however, have a guest account on a host at flinders where I occassionally make postings from. 3. I am contracted to a company that does have A/UX, entirely with Apple's knowledge, and all my activities involving A/UX have been entirely within the law and within the knowledge of Apple here in Australia. 4. All of my postings on the matter very clearly pointed out that licences for A/UX were required before placing A/UX on any MacII. I hope that this message will forestall any further action that you might be contemplating. I would suggest that you get into touch with me so that we can sort this issue out. Finally, I apologise to Flinders University for any problems that I have caused them, and in future I will endevour to make my relationship to Flinders clear in future postings. Regards Richard Sharpe -------------------------------------------- I am not an employee at Flinders University. I have a guest account on one of their hosts.
