Hello there! I am having a problem, and it's a big one. I have a Mac II (2 months old) and a moment ago it's just refuse to talk to my modem. System Setup: - Mac II with 5 Megabytes (MacProduct USA upgrade) - Mercury modem 1200AT - System files : System update version 6.0 Problem: - Everytime I typed on the keyboard the computer just freeze and dead no matter what software I use (uw, miniterm, redryder 9.4, kermit) - At first I thought I'm having problem with the serial ports. I tried to print from both port (modem and printer port), they were OK! It prints fine from both port. - I suspected the modem, but I set it up on different computer (Mac 512Ke, 2M memory upgrade from MacMemory, System Version 4.3, I think), the modem works fine. Could anybody please, pleeeeease help me! Anybody know what's wrong? BTW: There's no INIT in the system 5.0 setup.

I forgot to mention that when I try to change port (putting my modem on the printer port) using Miniterm, it beeped at me and giving me this error: Can't open Appletalk error -97
