Greetings, We have an LaserWriterII NT hooked onto an MicroVax II. I am trying to set up a form APPLE so that it can print postscript files generated and uploaded from our Macs. However, I cannot seem to make it work. Here is what I did. I installed in my Mac system folder the LaserWriter drivers that came in a disk with the LaserWriterII NT. Run MS Word and types a few lines. Then, use the Chooser to choose the LaserWriter driver. Finally, print the MS Word file with the control-K keys held down. This produces a postscript file with header in it. I then upload this PS file, edit it to get the header information only; then install it as a form into our MircoVax printer queue. When I print any PS file generated from Macs with Control-F held down, I get the error message as follows: %%[Error:invalidaccess; OffendingCommand:setsccinteractive]%% %%[Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored]%%. I then check the PS heder, it does contain the string "setsccinteractive" in a line ok{statusdict begin 9 sccinteractive 3 ne exch 0 ne or {9 0 3 setsccinteractive}if end}if What exactly deos this line do? What is the problem? If anyone succeeded in using a LaserWriterII NT the way I described, can you please send me the form you use? Thank you very much. -- Kang Sun sun@venus.ycc.yale.edu sun@yalevms.bitnet
