I have tried to use the little init "SoundMaster" and have had some good results, but some of the sounds (musical pieces) I've tried to use for startup sounds cause the system to "bomb" upon startup-- just at the point that the SoundMaster icon would pop up on the StartUp screen. The thing works just fine while trying out the particular sound or piece of music from the Control Panel--just bombs at startup. Have any of you had this experience and what do you suggest. I know, I would be better off without all these "bells and whistles," but isn't that part of our attraction to the Mac? Thanks for the help. Michael Pickel in Dallas -- Michael "OThe Pickle" in Dallas
