[comp.sys.mac] Waveform Editor

robert@mcco.UUCP (9787 robert) (11/03/88)

A company I am working with is looking for a waveform editor.
The functions they are looking for are:
	1)	The ability to construct arbitrary waveforms
	2)	Drag the above waveforms into another shape
	3)	Output the waveforms as some signal level changes
		on the soundport.
	4)	As a plus we would like to be able to capture
		waveforms.
We are looking for anything, commercial or not, to do this.

Although it contains a lot of other stuff you don't need, Deluxe Music
Construction Set 2.0 has a waveform generator and editor. I only use
DMCS for transcribing and printing scores, so I have not
used the editor itself, but there is a large section on it in
the manual. If you are interested and don't know anyone with DMCS version
2.0. Send me some mail, I'll check out the manual again and summarize it
for you. From what I remember you could do quite a bit with this. They
used this editor to create all the instrumental sounds that are included
with DMCS, and they decided to include the editor with version 2 also.
Since it was just an internal tool for them, the interface is not real
Mac-ish if I remember correctly.
