This is an e-mail repost of a letter to Caere Corporation, that I posted by snail mail more than a month ago. I don't know if it takes that long a time, or something has gone wrong. Therefore this cry for help/information. The address should be correct, as I saw the first notice about OmniPage here on the net and copied the address from there. If somebody from Caere or anybody else has comments or news on OCR and OmniPage, please send me an e-mail. If it looks interesting, I will summarize to the net. Thanks ! Dear Sir or Madam: Your company has recently released a new OCR software product for the Macintosh, named OmniPage. I was informed of this by reading e-mail articles appearing on UUCP. After what they told, your product seems to be very promising, especially in connection with the Apple Scanner. For the moment we are using an Agfa Scanner S200 with Read-It! OCR software on a Mac II with 4 MB. They work fine together, but I must admit, that Read-It! is not perfect. Therefore, I would appreciate, if you could send us information concerning OmniPage (with price list), also telling, whether OmniPage can work together with other scanners, like the Agfa.
