I also recently got a system error -37 while downloading from Sumex, and on closer look it appeared the problem was with the length of the filenames involved--I was being really careful and typing in the (optional) version numbers which made the names over 32 characters long. When I found an acceptable "abbreviation" the download went smoothly. Hope this helps... jking

I often (2-4 times / week) get a -37 error when double-clicking an Excel file. When I double-click again, it ALWAYS succeeds. I have stopped worrying about it a long time ago. (I'm still running 4.2/6.0). No funny naming conventions, ... Same reaction with Excel 1.04 and 1.5. No other applications do this. Same reaction on my old Dataframe XP20 and my new Jasmine DD70.
