I am thinking of buying Redux. Would someone tell me more about this program
in areas like
o How incremental backup is done (like DiskFit's approach or
Fastback's)
o How fast is it (faster than DiskFit? in Global and Incremental)
o How reliable is it?
o Does it restore hierarchy Folder info with global restore?
o DOES IT USE FINDER FILE FORMAT (like DiskFit)?
o HOW DOES IT HANDLE THE FOLDER SELECTION PROCESS ?
o Does it let you have special back-up sets like:Documents only
or applications only ones
o Whichever way you think that this program is better than DiskFit.
The bottom line is: I love DiskFit (it's reliable, fast, with 'real' incremental
back-up). However, I would like to have more flexibilities with the sets of
back-up files that I make, namely folder selections.
IMPORTANT: I UNDERSTAND THAT THERE WAS A BIG DISCUSSION ON REDUX,
FASTBACK AND DISKFIT A WHILE AGO. I MISSED IT.
IN ORDER NOT TO GENERATE A SIMILAR DISCUSSION, I WOULD
LIKE TO HAVE ANSWERS/SUGGESTIONS E-MAILED TO ME.
MORE IMPORTANTLY: If you have seen any reviews/news or any articles on Redux
in MacWEEK/MACWORLD/MACUSER/MACAZINE... please tell me.
It maybe easier for me.
THANKS IN ADVANCE !
