We have just installed AppleShare Print Server software on our AppleShare
Server (were else :-). One thing we noticed on the Server Installation
disk was an option of doing a "Macintosh ][ SERVER System (6.0)" install.
Does anyone know what is different about a "SERVER" install compared
to s standard "SYSTEM" install. (There obviously is, but what?)
Also, since it is a 6.0 install, dos this mean it's NOT bug-free ?
Is there a 6.0.2 Server Install?
One more thing we noticed was a CDEV on the disk called NETWORK.
This looks interesting, but if you try to use, it will complain about
being not installed properly (even running it from the server).
Apple - any clues?
Thanks, in advance......

(There obviously is, but what?) I'm not 100% certain about this but I believe that the special Mac II server configuration is for increasing the maximum number of users on a Mac II from 25 to 50. In fact it does several more technical things as covered in the most recent tech notes (#216?) like increase the Max # of files open and locked ranges.
