[comp.sys.mac] Bar Code Readers: Recommendations?

Does anyone have any experience with bar code readers on Macintosh 
equipment?  If so, I'd appreciate knowing: 
 
   -  What product you used? 
   -  How it was connected to the Macintosh? 
   -  What kind of application (inventory, point of sale, time and 
      attendence, labor tracking, etc.)? 
   -  What kind of industry (retail, manufacturing, service, etc.)? 
   -  What is your general reaction to the bar code reader specifically 
      and to the bar code project in general?
