[comp.sys.mac] Inits and ?? System Heap

lyman@eos.UUCP (Lyman Taylor) (12/06/88)

I have a problem starting up my SE in Multifinder mode with the inits
I now have installed. All the inits show after startup, but
just before the icon bar appears over the desktop the Mac crashes. Starting
up with the same init setup with regular Finder starts OK. And taking one init
out of the sequence allows the mac to boot into MulitFinder OK. I tried taking
various individual inits out and as long as I take ONE out, no matter which
one, the Mac boots OK.

I was wondering if it were the case that I was running out of system
heap space ??? And if so how to make it bigger ( like increasing the
Application space in MuliFinder )? Or am I on the wrong track all together?
Or is it just the case there's no way all of these will fit?

	My setup:
			SE w/ 20M Hard Drive and 2.5 M memory
			System 4.2
Finder 6.0 ( I'm trying to get my hands on the new
						stuff )

			inits
TOPS, Timbuktu, QuickMail, Quickeys, Suitcase, Vaccine,
				Pyro, and SuperLaserSpool
I'm pretty sure I have the latest version of these
			inits.

	Thanks in advance
